Minister of Trade Industry and Cooperatives Meets EU Head of Delegation to Uganda
On Thursday 11th May 2017, Hon. Amelia Kyambadde met the EU Ambassador/Head of Delegation to Uganda Ambassador Kristian Schmidt at the Ministry of Trade Industry and cooperatives.
The meeting highlighted the progress on the EPA negotiations, Uganda trade relations with the EU, exports, job creation, women rights and emancipation.
On the EPAS the two leaders agreed that the upcoming EAC summit would inform the direction since it is on the agenda.
On Exports the EU will be supporting a market access Upgrade project that will support Cocoa and Coffee Value chains once in place.
EU supported Projects with the Private sector and the women are also on going.
