Hon MTIC Dines with Swedish Business Community
On Wednesday 10th May 2017, Hon. Amelia Kyambadde the Minister of Trade Industry and cooperatives attended Dinner with the Swedish business community in Uganda at the residence of the Swedish ambassador in Uganda.
The dinner brought together Swedish companies in Uganda and Ugandans doing business in Sweden.
Issues raised to the minister included issues on difficulties in accessing finance, delays in clearing at URA,need for incentives for the local investors and need for clearer tax information.
In response the minister assured the Swedish community that the government of Uganda is committed to continously improving the doing business environment in Uganda.
She informed them that URA was continouly digitalising its services in a bid to improve service delivery. She also Urged them to use NTB reporting system on *201# whenever they encounter challenges for prompt solutions.
She encouraged them to also invest in Agro business and in value addition.
