Pursuant to Section 26 and Section 74 of Cooperative Societies Act, CAP 107, the Registrar of Cooperative
Societies invites Audit firms/Auditors interested in offering External audit services to Cooperative Societies to
submit their profiles for prequalification.

Applications should be submitted to the office of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies at Farmers’ House, Ground
floor, not later than 30th November, 2025 at 5.00pm.

Applications should contain but not limited to the following;
1. A letter of intent expressing interest to provide audit services
2. A valid Certificate of Practice issued by ICPAU
3. Company profile including relevant experience and staffing levels
4. Profile of Managing partners with two passport photos
5. Information on experience in auditing Cooperatives (include at least three Cooperatives audited in the past,
and proof of the same)
6. Copy of certificate of incorporation
7. Memorandum and articles of Association
8. Valid trading license
9. A non-refundable administrative fee of UGX; 200,000 payable upon submission of application to Account
name: Audit and Supervision Fund, Account Number 6000010330, ABSA bank.
10. Any other document that may be appropriate or deemed necessary to accompany your application

Please note:
1. Pre-qualified audit firms/ auditors are free to provide external audit services to any registered Cooperative in
Uganda.
2. The current pre-qualified audit firms/ auditors should re- apply afresh since their pre-qualification expires on
31st December, 2025 but they are free to audit financial year 2025
3. The Registrar reserves the right to reject any application on advice and in consultation with ICPAU.
