To implement its mandate, the Ministry of Trade Industry and Cooperatives is undertaking a survey to assess and also provide an evidence based documentation on the experiences, awareness and compliance to the domestic, EAC and COMESA laws by Ugandan consumers and businesses. The survey will identify trends in consumer and business behaviors, areas of consumer detriment and burdens in the market. A report of the survey will be used by the Ministry in collaboration with the EAC and COMESA Competition Commission to improve the plight of the consumers and improve market confidence in Uganda. The Ministry will ensure confidentiality of the particulars of the respondents and any information that is not for the consumption of the public.
