Uganda is sending a delegation of business persons to Italy as one of the initiatives to strengthen the trade relations between the two countries and open up more market opportunities for Uganda products. Frederick Gume called upon members of the Cooperative movement to participate in planting trees and contribute to environmental protection and mitigation against climate change. Launch of National Cooperatives Week
The first ever National Cooperatives Week was launched by the Minister of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives Hon. Amelia Kyambadde, ahead of the 94th UN International Day of Cooperatives Day celebrations scheduled for Saturday 2nd July, 2016. The launch took place at Constitutional Square in Kampala as members of the Cooperative Movement donated blood in fulfillment of the 7th International Cooperatives principle – “Concern for Community”.
